    Sprocket issues?

Chain Slack and stretch is relatively normal on a new machine/new chain & sprockets. That said I’ve not yet heard of anyone breaking a sprocket tooth on these bikes specifically. I’d chalk it up as a fluke.

    Need Replacement Tires

I am on my second set of Continental Road Attack 3’s and have been very pleased with them.

Code P1227. Low voltage on the ride by wire.

I’ll have to look at mine again but I thought there was foam in the lid of the fuse box with cutouts to keep those things in place. I could be misremembering.

Awful grinding from transmission when shifting into 2nd at high RPM

I’m a sucker for Amsoil myself 😂 The Indian stuff is good quality too.

    Helmets

+1 for the race star. Most comfortable helmet I’ve ever had and I love the transition visor.

Combustion Industries turn indicators a huge difference

They do have resistors now. They don’t do low-glow while running, but do low-glow after bike is off for like 1 min 30 then they turn off completely. Only on the rears. I’ve been happy with them that behavior not withstanding.

    2020 base model project

This is the one I got. They do ship to Europe by the looks of it. Don’t expect anything crazy, it just makes the shifts feel a tad “clicky” which is nice. Takes up some of the slack in the shifter causing fewer missed shifts/false neutral if you have that issue. Cheap easy five minute mod...

Do most folks replace the stock mirrors?

I have aftermarket bars (Rizoma MA006). The dealer did the install of the mirrors during the rebuild after my accident. I believe the barrel is supposed to be exposed from what I recall seeing on Scouts. Someone with a Scout can chime in on whether that’s the case or not.

Get rid of cat and keep stock exhaust, or keep cat and change exhaust?

Don’t do the Bassani. It is stupid loud.

How much did you pay for your FTR?

I was prepared to buy mine without a test ride first. I walked into the dealer fully intending to do so. Mine was a long sitting showroom queen that they wanted to move so it was marked $1500 less than the other FTR’s next to it that were identical. While they were getting the paperwork ready...

    2019 FTR Plate Bracket Replacement

https://motocroft.medium.com/naked-racer-tail-tidy-install-1af88e99927 This is the one I have. I had to widen the holes for American plates but that wasn’t difficult and it’s very subtle and clean.

Tail tidy compatibility with oem luggage rack

Most tail tidys mount to the accessory holes underneath the grab handles whereas the luggage rack replaces the grab handles themselves. Different mounting locations. I don’t know of any tail tidys that interfere with the luggage rack.

    Opinion? S&S Exhaust.

I thought he was asking about the S&S slip on not the 2-2 that I currently run.
