    Oil Drain Plugs Stripped

Is it the drain plugs that are stripped or are the threads in the cases stripped? Hopefully the plug threads are stripped. The plug sizes are listed as M12X1.50 15MM. I would replace with a good aftermarket drain plug. If the case threads are stripped, it is defiantly more difficult. I have...

    G'day from Downunder

I switched to a Corbin. Once broke in its quite comfortable or at least as much as can be expected for the rather tight cockpit. It is perfect for keeping you in an aggressive riding position.

    Would you buy another Indian?

I have spent some serious money to get my '19 FTR RR to where I want it and very much like the bike. It is just fun. I do have my HD bagger which I love for its intended purpose but all-around sport riding the FTR is hard to beat once dialed in which included, titanium exhaust, S&S slip on...

    Hello from Denmark

Excellent suggestion. I had considered these previously but got target fixation on the Contis. I think these may be a winner.

    Hello from Denmark

Thanks, but I'm looking for more of a street only tire.

    Hello from Denmark

I finally decided to replace the Dunlop's on my '19 FTR with Conti Road Attack 3s. I have had these on order for a couple of months now. The rear is available however nobody I have found can supply the front tire. Any suggestions on a comparable performing / looking tire?

    The Harley-Davidson and Indian Wars

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) set up a plan to gradually force the off-road motorcycle manufactures to eventually produce bikes that met clean air standards, essentially smog legal. It began in '04 with the red and green sicker program. Red sticker meant you could only ride in the...

    The Harley-Davidson and Indian Wars

I'm now 65, man that sounds old; in the last 53 years I have ridded everything from old two smoke motocrossers to today's 450 motocross monsters, Norton Commandos, Triumph Trident, Bonney's, Kawasaki two stroke triples, CBRs, and GSXRs. I loved them all. I'm down to two bikes, an HD Street...

Hi Max, I hope all is well. I am just folloiwng up on your post from a couple of years ago on the Conti RA3's you installed. I'm looking at a set of 120/70ZR19 front, 160/60ZR18 rear and given you have had them for a while I am wanting to see if you still think this is the way to go? Thanks...

Where did you ride your FTR today?

I spent the 4th of July riding around Lake Tahoe and areas in the Sierra Nevada to the south. It was a beautiful day but after an all day trip with three fuel stops I was beat. I have a Corbin seat and Rally bars but by the end my ass was feeling it. Normally I take my Street Glide on extended...

Where did you ride your FTR today?

I love seeing the Nortons. I rode a new '74 850 Commnado back in the day. I keep putting off buying one and restoring it but I will ge to it at some point. I was 17 and that was like a first love that will forever stuck in my mind and heart. In its day the performance and handling was as...

    MotoGP

I agree with you on Laguna Seca. I live in northern California and have attended races there often. I was just in Monterey two weeks ago and it was beautiful as always. The Monterey Peninsula with its close proximity Big Sur and San Francisco make it an ideal location for an international event...

Need opinions of my headlight mod.

I'm not sure it fits the style of a flat track inspired bike. Its like ultra modern meets old school. I personaly would love to install and adaptive headhight if somebody made one for teh FTR. They make one for the Scout but I'm told it won't work on an FTR.

    MotoGP

I went to COTA again this year and must say between COTA and the FIM they put on a good show. I was hoping for a Marquez and Miller 1 & 2 but it was not to be. Had MM not had that issue on the start he would have been right up there. It was fun watching him move towards the front. I was hoping...

Performance Mods - Best Bang for Your Buck

I went the PV-3 route with Ryan's map and while it improved how the bike ran I still got the occasional flameout and it wasn't exactly to my liking. I ultimately discussed the matter with Ryan and what modifications I had done which resulted in me sending my ECU to Ryan for the V6 tune. It now...
