@Merrick I was surprised by that win to tell you the truth, but you could tell Bronson was just really happy. It's hard to believe he's as young as he is! He sure handles the pressure well.

Did you have a wish list?

I'm interested to see how the electric motorcycles turn out down the road. Those have been on my wish list for some time, but I think it will take a while before they have improved enough that I'll actually want to buy one.

    The Harley-Davidson and Indian Wars

Do you guys remember when Consumer Reports put together their guide on buying motorcycles and a whole slew of Harley-Davidson owners were absolutely offended by it? I think it was around 2016. The bike maker wasn't rated high enough, according to many fans. Some people definitely take that...

    DIY versus hire a pro

Do you do any of your bike's maintenance or repairs yourself or do you usually hire a pro? I'm not sure why, but there aren't many mechanics in my area who work on motorcycles. So out of necessity, I learned how to do most of my own basic work like changing the oil, drive chain, brakes, and...

An Itch I Needed to Scratch.

Welcome to the group. Is your bike getting shipped to you directly or are you having to pick it up and ship it yourself? The latter sounds like a logistical nightmare.

    Avatars?

Thanks for letting me know it worked for you. I tried three different sizes and they all worked, so I guess the site operators just fixed it. It was super easy to do this go around.

    Indian FTR 1200 (S) - First impressions

Ah, that's a good question. I have a hard enough time finding a mechanic who can work on motorcycles without messing it all up, but I bet you could save money in the long run if you find one that's trustworthy. The stripped back version is a sweet ride too, and much of the hardware is the same.

    The Harley-Davidson and Indian Wars

I need to check that one out. I know people who are super loyal to a particular brand, but I think all motorcycle enthusiasts benefit when there's lots of competition for our money. It pushes each brand to their limit and encourages them to create unique styles and incorporate new technology.

    Emergency braking

Nick lenatsch is an amazing racer and instructor. What he says makes sense, but I worry that it would be bad for the bike's mechanical parts. Seems like it would cause extra stress on the brakes and you'd need to do it more than once to become comfortable with breaking at 100 miles an hour.

    Your bike's nickname?

And no one told you? Someone should have taken pity on you buddy. Well, my baby is called Sally - after the character in Pixar's Cars. Uh, my son insisted on that nickname and no, I'm not ashamed at all.

    Indian FTR 1200 (S) - First impressions

Don't get me wrong, the stripped back model is sweet, but I just prefer digital gauges and the S model offers an easier ride with its three riding modes - Rain, Sport, and Standard. Plus, it's nice to be able to adjust the suspension on the rear shock and front forks, you know?

    Avatars?

Hello, I'm having trouble uploading an avatar. When I try to upload an image, I get a basic error message stating "A server error occurred. Please try again later." This happens with JPEG, JPG, and PNG files. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    AFT Racing

I hear that! I'm still planning to go, but since it's turned into a doubleheader and it will be Labor Day weekend, I'm sure traffic and accommodations will be a nightmare. It will be worth it though! It's too bad that your buddies have to miss the race. Right now I'm rooting for Briar...

    Indian FTR 1200 (S) - First impressions

I like the smooth, modern, look of the bike. From what I've seen, it looks like it's probably worth paying more to get the upgraded S version.

    Hello Hello

Hey there, Dustin! Welcome to the forum. You guys have some fantastic bike races out your way! I recently signed up here too because I'm looking to replace my Yamaha and am leaning towards the Indian FTR 1200 after running across it on CNET's website and in Cycle World magazine. I figure...

FTR 1200 accessories page is up

I don't like the look of mudguards, but they're a must in the cold, mushy winter for me. I'll likely also grab the anti-theft front wheel disc lock and all-weather cover to start. I'm glad you mentioned the Rally Collection as I had missed the four curated collections at first glance.

    AFT Racing

Does anyone here follow American Flat Track racing? If so, what is your favorite event? Which riders do you routinely root for? Like many fans, I'm most looking forward to the Springfield Mile that was recently moved to August.
