I guess it probably doesn't matter much, but there should be no movement between the axle and the bearing, so i don't understand why you'd grease it. Grease is used for lubrication/wear, anti-seize for dealing with galling or corrosion. It seems to me that grease would do a better job of...

The oil cooler already has a cover and some mesh aftermarket examples are available if you think it's not enough. The plastic cover that goes over the battery is pretty damn strong, but I guess you could replace it with a CF cover from thomas kopp if you really feel you need something stronger...
Or, you know, get a SDGT and tour just as much, with just as much of you and your wife's crap, on a bike that weighs (almost) half as much. Riding 600 miles pushing around an 800+ lb bike is harder on my body then doing 900 miles on a 500 lb'er.
Except it's not 110ml, you were within a litre or so of being empty. Basically the amount lots of folks carry for backup (good for around 10-15 miles). Tank capacity is a fixed amount and the tank isn't different sized for the US vs international market. I've run out of gas at 95 miles and also...
Math is math.... the point is that it's not truly a 13L tank, it's actually more than 14L.
Here is one I recently snapped a picture of, that's 14L, the tank wasn't empty and i didn't have any burp out of the vent.
Facts are facts
Thats 3.4 gallons, I've put in 3.7 and some change before. Thats was without running out of gas. You had plenty left.
I put in nearly that much every day just for my round trip commute.
Yeah, as Charlie shows, the vent it already there. Another owner actually hooked a vacuum pump to the tank, when his bike was down, and the tank didn't fill any faster. I believe he found that there are 2 very small channels just inside the filer neck that allow fuel to pass into the tank and...
My stock rear sprocket at just over 20k,
At about 18k it was looking worn but not horrible, but then I did 2500 miles in about a week and a half and did no chain maintenance during that time.
The morning before I changed it, on the way to work, a buddy (in a corvette) and I were playing at...
Just remembered I never reported back on this...
Anyway, my friend Thomas and I rode over to springfield on saturday afternoon (about 400 miles), taking our time hitting the fun roads of central missouri. When we checked into the hotel (at about 8pm) we found 2 FTRs already there. A couple...
I posted this in the facebook group too, but putting it here to in order to drum up more interest. I put it in the section because it seems like the event and rides sections don't get many eye-balls.
I just got back from a 2 day 1100 mile trip on my FTR to see a bunch of old motorcycle friends...
That's funny, my son (he was 6) and I went to the inaugural COTA MotoGP too, from KC. His first flight. We were supposed to be have a layover in Dallas but due to weather they sent us up to O'Hare and then when had a straight shot to Austin from there, I bet I was on that flight you got bumped...
