Down to 3; Cagiva Elefant, Triumph Trophy, and my FTR. My wife has a Super Duke and a Sportster 1200. Her SD is the reason I picked up the FTR, so we could suffer together on nekid bikes. I tried hers and didn't really like it, the KTM ergos just don't suit me well. On a lark I sat on the FTR on Saturday and 30 minutes later I rode it home. No market research, no looking at forums, nothing. Rode it, laughed out loud at the acceleration wheelie I did on my test ride, and bought it.

The Big Bore Scout is done. The bike is very very strong. I rode 100 miles today (3/31). The engine performance exceeded my expectations. Massive increase in power and torque.

These are the main components of the build:
Revolution Performance Big Bore Kit w/ Millennium Technology pistons
Andrews 420 cam shafts
Free Spirits Brembo brake kit
Newfren 320 mm rotor
Antigravity ATX-12-HD Lithium Ion Battery
Rekluse manual TorqDrive clutch
Indian Scout Tachometer
Syndicate Solo Seat for Scout
Custom tune built by Pitt Cycles and Lloydz of Charlotte
assorted gasket kits
(dyno testing in 500 miles after break in and oil change)

It's therapeutic to see that many others have the same addiction to varying degreesFJ-09.JPGGixxer.JPGMonster 1200.JPGZ-H2-3.jpgZ900RS.jpgWR250R.JPG. No need for counseling or keeping it in check.

Do you have any other bikes? What is your favorite genre of bikes. I have a fairly eclectic interest in bikes. Mostly older Japanese bikes but I like almost anything out of the ordinary. That is why I like the FTR. It reminds me of so many of the bikes I've had because it is unique. I have built some custom bikes. Here are a few of my favorites.
Lol. My wife asked, " what kind of treatment"?
I thought I'd done well swapping a porsche 928s for a 2003 aprillia rsv, which saves space right! So In the good book for 6 short months. Its back to that old chesnut, "why do you need 6 bikes"?!! Truth is i dont, but we will keep that quiet.

We had to empty out all are closets yesterday so new carpeting could be installed. I came across a photo album I did not know existed! In it I found pictures of my brother and me on Christmas morning 1970 getting our first motorcycles! I am on the Green Honda QA-50. My brothers Matt is on the yellow bike. I was 10 years old. I also found a picture taken two years later - December 29, 1972. My brother Matt is on my Honda SL 70. My friend Chuck is on my fathers CL 70 and I am on my new SL 125!
