FTR DISCONTINUED?!

So who's buying extra FTR stuff if this is the end of the line? And what are you buying?

The only stuff that's drying up is new OEM parts at some point. Second hand and accessories are going to take a long while before it dries up. Many parts are also used on other (non Indan) motorcycles. It actually took a while before we could get the seggsy stuff. Mostly thanks to the Superhooligan series.

What brake discs are these?

I'm selling the side plates and the tracker seat both new still in the box........im a bit upset that none seems to be racing a FTR in super hooligan class this year

Harley bought the series and changed the rules to their favor. The heavier underpowered ftr can’t compete. There are still at least two in the series, but they had issues and didn’t make Daytona.

I hear you had to buy a HD catch pan or there would be a problem. This was maybe 3yrs ago I heard that. Guy was a fabricator who went pro and made his own pan. etc. Quit the series and went with some other bagger 'league' program that tours the nation.

It's a rich boys club for sure at the national level. Need to pay for a chassis tuner, an engine builder, a computer wiz, let alone a crew chief. No longer the single guy rolling out the bike from a van. More need a spare engine and crash spares if going big time. A few mechanics to help out pit wise.

Well here's hoping Irving and his Vincent gets a chance to run.....he has a beautiful stable of bikes and its worth seeing run around the track

I figured this one was coming. With the newer 1250 and the weird positioning of the model it makes sense. It's such a strange bike to me because it doesn't really fit into any other category. It's not a cruiser at all but it's made by a cruiser company. It's not really a naked street bike as (at least the 2019) it has a high seating position and decent suspension travel, more akin to an adv bike, BUT it's not anything like an ADV bike either. So to try and categorize the bike as anything other than a Hooligan, there just isn't any other category I could think to put it in. Once I saw the Scout 101 if knew they were not renewing the FTR. Hey, maybe this thing will be a modern classic, maybe not.
