Claimed horsepower measured at the crank doesn't take into account frictional losses and final drive and tends to be subject to somewhat inflated imaginative and 'enthusiastic' figures from manufacturers. It also doesn't take into account power to weight ratio which varies with all these bikes. The FTR motor is not really about top end and high revs, rather torque - the source of all road going automotive fun...and it has it in spades. Precisely why we all love it.
