As the thread title asks, How does one shut off the rear cylinder deactivator?

First ride today. That deactivator is pretty neat. Saves gas, cools a bit. But that pipe by the right leg is sort of hot on a hot day. I'd leave it alone. JMO.

My dealer recommended turning the rear cylinder deactivation off whilst running in, and wait until after the first service before deciding to turn it on.

Interesting. Why? Seems an odd recommendation to me..

Coz I'm such a computer idiot on anything.. I've tried like 300 times to shut mine off... only to find out on my next ride... Nope! Still activated..
