That was neat. Imagine going that fast on not much more than bicycle sized tires/wheels. Our bikes (limited) aren’t much faster than what they’re doing here lol

Who thought it was a good idea to race on board tracks? Can you imagine all the old nails and nail heads sticking up around the track. I’m surprised they all didn’t get flat tires!

This was before they had superior paving technology. They were pretty smooth tracks. A lot of good videos explaining them on YouTube. There were actually quite a few in pa. And there are sections on display at a few museums around the state.

There's been some of the greatest race/board tracks in and around Los Angeles some hundred years ago. I can name at least four, of which of one there are still remnants.
