Oh btw, can I add a few pics of my other motorcycle, even though I still have it?

I would say about as much fun as the Aprilia RS250 I posted above here, but with boatloads of torque. 340lbs fully fueled, 75hp. After a few minor mods a super fun machine to ride. BRAA-AAA-AAA-AAP!

My only "classic" bike, 1969 Honda SS50. It's been continuously registered since '69 and has its original plate. The fuel tank on the machine in the photo was still in its packaging unused when it was donated to replace the original tank.
Unfortunately being stored in close proximity to the southern ocean wasn't kind to the more exposed pressed steel components. The original tank was rusted out behind the chrome panels. Thankfully it can be repaired without wrecking the patina though so along with a new cylinder and piston for the original engine I'll have a nice wee vintage rat commuter bike, best $50 I ever spent!
Oh and I had to alter the intake for the Loncin engine so made a high flow filter housing 😂

First bike the day I got her and the day I sold her. 1988 EX500 that had a hard life but I got her back into shape and rode her for 5 years.

Second bike 1982 KZ750 LTD that my neighbor gave me. Also had a hard life and neglected the previous couple years. Got that one into shape and rode it for 4 more years.

Third bike 2019 FTR1200 S. Got tired of resurrecting old abused machines and wanted something turn-key brand new that only had been ridden by me. Got her back in March and already has 3k miles on her. Nothing crazy for mods yet (fender eliminator, set of raximo levers on the way). Planning a S&S high mount full exhaust and PV3. I don’t care if it burns my leg I love the look of it and want it so bad.

Now that is a proper garage, some strange people still put cars in them......very strange. Done the TT and Classic quite a few times myself, what an amazing place.

My riding career started with a 2006 XL883C then a XL1200C then a 1995 FXDWG then a 1996 FLSTF Bobber then a 1999 FXDX... After all that Harley pie I finally realised that I'm totally over them! And Harley owner snobbery... It exists I see it every day. I dig all bikes, not sure why others don't. I work on Harleys 6 days a week... Time for a change. The FTR ticked all my boxes.. I hadn't seen one in the flesh let alone a test ride, I had to have one... tall.. Built well and totally packed with enough power to get yourself in trouble with. Here's a picture of my FXDX, I loved it but sorry to say I'm just got bored with it... And Harleys in general. I must say I did feel some guilt switching brands, I don't know why? It's not like the motor company pay me for riding there products. Anyway totally chuffed with my FTR total hooligan. 👍

Please pm me a few details and pictures of the XT or a link where it's up for sale. I went all the way from the South Coast UK to the south of France on one of them in the early eighties. I may be interested? From what I can see she looks a tidy example. The Kawasaki is lovely too. I liked the Widow Makers, very aptly named.

MV Augusta F3 800, is what I’ve swapped for the FTR.
Before that a Tuono V4 and a Moto Morini Cosaro. Biggest regret was swapping my SP1 for a Benelli TNT. That was a stupid decision!

Yeah, I loved that SP1, wasn’t too bad on the road either surprisingly. I think the extra weight made it a bit more planted, unlike the F3. That was so light and twitchy it was a nightmare on Anything except the smoothest roads, main reason I swapped it for the FTR. Done 200 miles on it now and the jury’s still out on the tyres. At first I though they were good, a lot better than expected, but had a massive slide yesterday front and back, think I hit a bit of a damp patch, shit myself! I’ll be steadying down a bit now until I get a bit more confidence it them again.
Maybe just need a few more miles scrubbing in??
