Raising the handlebars?

Sorry, noob questions here. I've seen videos of other bikes showing how to raise your handlebars (undoing some hex bolts and adjusting). Is it possible to raise/adjust the height of the handlebars without buying new ones?
If it's not possible, I'll probably get the rally bars. Has anyone installed the rally bars? Is it difficult?

Join the Indian Motorcycle 1200 Owners Facebook group, and search for Thomas Kopp. He makes and sells bar clamp risers that raise the bars by 25mm, and pull them closer 16mm or something like that.

Oh b tw, installing bars is not difficult if you follow the (excellent) instructions.

I bought a set of 19 mm risers, still on the fence about installing them. At first I thought I needed them because I’m 6’4” and starting to get old and creeky…lol. And I’ve only put about a 1000 kms on it so far but the more I ride it the more comfortable it gets. So I dunno, maybe I’ll install and remove if I don’t like them.

I installed the rally bars. Instructions were very good, no problems. Very happy with the results.

That's what I ended up doing too. Wasn't too difficult

Changing bars also gives one an opportunity/excuse to add heated grips. If doing so, recommend Koso Apollo.
