Where did you ride your FTR today?

I think the only way to attach a photo is to scrafice a goat, 3 drops of gypsy blood and 2 hairs from Freddie Spencer or Kevin Schwantz

I have all these ingredients! The only thing I’m missing (and something you forgot to mention) are three unicorn hairs 😂

Isn’t June just the best month? Like, THE best month of the year, hands down. Long days. Good weather - not too hot, not too cold.

Northern hemisphere, I mean. Sorry, AUS!

Mountain pass Larra-Belagua on the border between France and Spain. The French call it Col de la Pierre - St. Martin.
As per usual, rode over it twice. Spent the night in the medieval village of Ochagavía on the Spanish side. It’s Basque Country - a very particular part of Spain.

I always thought of the Pyrenees as a poor cousin of the Alps. Guess what - I no longer think so. It’s a less-known mountain range in Europe. Not as huge and dramatic as the Alps and not as stunning as the Dolomites, but still plenty beautiful. World-class riding, too.

This is Col d’Aubisque mountain pass, btw. In La Belle France, of course.

This is Canfranc Estación - former train station converted into one of the most luxurious hotels in Spain.
No, I didn’t stay there. Didn’t want to spend north of 250 Euros for a single night. Just stopped for this picture.

Añisclo Canyon in Aragón Pyrenees on the Spanish side. First you go through the bottom of the canyon, then climb one side, and voilà: A mirador (viewpoint). Thankfully, the traffic is one-way only in a buckle. Because look at the width of that road.

In Europe we don’t have nature on quite such a grand scale as in the Americas or other parts of the world, but even in tiny Europe you can find some pretty dramatic sights.

Brizneeland doesn’t exist on Google Maps. Must be a mythical place 😊
Brizneeland is real......but we are very cagey about sharing our location as we are with our 9 months of pleasant weather (1 month of cooking eggs in the shade with no added heat isn't as enjoyable as I make it sound) and some of the best mountain range roads in OZ......unless the highway turtles are out (4x4 with a caravan that rivals a road train on every aspect apart from speed , horsepower and consideration). This time of year we view anyone not looking like Chevy Chase in 'spy's like us' as outsiders and give them a look that Clint Eastwood had in 'a few dollars more'. If you do find yourself in the area and you don't want to look out of place, just add a O or an A to the end of anyone's name (Davo, shazza) and if you want to comment on something they have said say the opposite eg 'oh you are clever = you a bit of a smartarse or fuggin look at the egg head' ....if someone yells out 'fug ya' it is not an offer of a blissfull night of romance but they don't actually like something you have done.........don't even get me started on the A.T.M machines (they don't actually give you what the name implies) and that leads me to the court system

Well written. Sounds like a genuinely fun place. I'm sure the food is great, too.
I'd like to visit someday. When I do, I'll make sure to call everyone Steveo and stay clear of ATMs :)

The only picture I took today on the last leg of my trip - coming back home after a week of touring.

Just got back home after 5 weeks overseas, so rode the bike out the shed and back into our garage. Hope to get out for a ride next weekend (weather pending).

Welcome back from your well deserved holidays. Did you holiday activities overseas include any motorcycle riding? :)
