Where did you ride your FTR today?

I rode to work in East Perth and parked in the usual spot in the public car park outside. Later I got a phone call from a private number, it was the cops telling me that someone had tried to knick my bike.
The bike is a bit scuffed up but no significant damage. The Kryptonite disc lock definitely helped save the day. Cops got a call from CCTV surveillance and busted the little shits. The wiring was pulled out of the throttle side so the bike went on a tow truck and I took the train home.
Shits me that my new paint job is fucked up...
oh crap!! glad they were able to catch the pricks though

another 200kms yesterday but with many more stops!
headed to Hindmarsh Island where the Murray River meets the ocean. was interesting to see how the floods are affecting this end of the river, basically the freshwater is pushing through much more than usual.

then off to Victor Harbor for a walk over to Granite Island. lots of people around so I'm glad we got there early!

After lunch we headed to Carrickalinga beach to admire the views before heading to Myponga Dam

headed back to our hotel after that via Smiling Samoyed brewery to pick up some supplies.

Bloody fresh today. Despite the fact that it's been dry for several weeks, roads plastered in mud, salt and shite. Nothing ever dries out during a UK winter...

Yep, it pisses me off that they keep dumping salt on the road even when no freezing temps forecast. It makes the road constantly damp and takes ages to get it all off the bike and riding gear.

Cant beat a ride out to a good pub tho… :)

Annual bike show in the Adelaide Hills today, so headed up with the hubby. lots of spectators but not many entrants, we didn't stay long and stopped at a local brewery on the way home to get some take aways.

We are having the mildest winter in Pittsburgh, PA in my lifetime. I have been riding all 5 of my bikes throughout January, February and now March. Usually they spend the entire winter covered in the garage. Last Thursday, March 2 it was 60*F. I spent several hours on the FTR.

Currently Siberia outside with snow throughout the night and more arriving tomorrow. Placed the bike back into hibernation. In a matter of weeks we could get a ridge of high pressure migrating up from North Africa and it'll feel like summer.

Mannum and back for lunch today.
Despite charging Tony's FTR overnight, it appears the battery is totally dead. Thankfully I'm a nice wife and with the front tyre on the Hornet fixed I let him borrow that so we could still ride together without going 2 up.
Nice to see the riverland slowly returning to normal again.

Jealous. Here in MN I might have been on a coupe rides by now but the roads are still garbage and snow is gonna be here til June as deep as it is. If I havent ridden by the end of next week I’m gonna be upset.

Some lightly amusing .jpgs from one of us from the cooler regions. I've put a grand total of 46 feet on my FTR since October. Mostly limited moving the bikes around the garage to keep them dusted off, on the tender and tires round. I had to postpone the coolant junction recall work because winter arrived in November. I rescheduled for late May and that might still be too soon.

One year ago, I had my FTR at the base of the Maverick ski hill. A week ago, I was on their chairlift. For all my love of griping about our July and winter climate, it has been nice to have decent Montana winter. Having the bikes put away, I needed a fix, so I got me a new sled. Hard to keep that seasonal depression up with 140 horsepower under thumb.

Quick 40 mile ride today, just installed the SW Motec carrier and Legend Series bag. Let me know if you have any questions about it, if you’re looking for a clean saddle bag solution this one is pretty slick.
