Is it a hassle to have 160/60 installed (I know the stock tire has a narrower cross section)? Also what do you recommend? I'm trying get an idea cost-wise for replacing my tires.
Well, I gutted out the the stock Dunlops on my FTR1200, but it's that time (especially for the back tire) - the tires need to go bye-bye, and new ones need to but put on my FTR. I know there are a ton of threads on replacement tires for the FTR1200, but a lot of the threads are older, and I'd...
I might end up doing so, though, the tires need to be taken care of first ($750-$1000 ouch!). Any ideas from anybody for street oriented tires (remember the front wheel is 19 inches) that won't break the bank?
I took the 2023 Rally for a test ride this afternoon. The bars are a little narrower (a plus for me), and it steers a little faster than my 2019 base steers (also a plus for me). The monthly payment was too high IMO (about $185/month), so I passed. Oh well, my 2019 is still a decent...
I probably shouldn't, but after I was intrigued about the 2023 Rally, I was contacted a couple of days ago, by the Indian dealership I bought my 2019 Base, stating that they'd received in a '23 Rally, that they might be willing to do a deal with me for, with my 2019 Base as a trade-in. I'm...
Hmmmmm, let me think for a second.......I think my 2019 Standard was about $11,500. I bought it in March 2020, a week or so before ye olde Covid really kicked in.
I'm about 90% for doing just that - just going to sit on/think about it for another week (I do the same thing with guitars before I'll buy them). Usually that kills the impulse buys.
Maybe yes for me replacing the seat and the muffler. As for the state of tune my FTR has - I really don't have any issues with the engine. Yes, once in a rare while, I'll have the engine error, that requires a shutdown and restart, but other than that it's fine - just slightly different from...
Hi Tash,
Other than the latest firmware updates for the ECU from Indian, I do not have any aftermarket tune on my FTR. You are pretty much echoing my own thoughts. I'm getting the impression that other than different silencer end cans, a slightly classier seat, the (to me) funky cylinder...
I'm on vacation today and tomorrow, so I scheduled my 2019 FT1200R Base model for it's 5000 mile servicing, oil change, and to have the coolant tee safety recall issue taken care of . Since I had a bit of a wait ahead of me (I didn't have a ride home, nor did I want to spend money on an Uber...
I remember the Morinis. As a young rider in the early 80s, I thought they were cool, and would have liked to have one, but they were never common in my neck of the woods (the Upper Midwest of the United States). I think I only ever saw one of them (a 500) in the flesh. I'd heard that they had...
