Didn't you at one time run the T31s?
Heard were good but don't last long n wear pattern can be funky.
Like the price on them, but don't want to waste money either.
Thanks
Welcome
I too in O-Town and yet to actually see another FTR around (there are, just have not seen).
You going to love it.
Can PM me anytime, talk ftr, spots to ride, ect...
Anyone try the Pirelli Angel GT tires?
Can go Angel GT 160/60/18 rear with the Angel GT 2 170/70/19 front.
Want to go CRA3 ot T32s but can't find anywhere.
But in looking at the Perelli that combo looks intriguing
Thanks
Believe i had read that thread before and somehow thought did both front and rear with 17's.
So no odd handling issues? That is great to know.
Just so many more options with the 17 rear tires.
So, scrolling through youtubes one day and seen this video where guy put a 17 inch rear wheel while keeping the 19 inch front (motomarvelous).
Said was direct plug n play with no issues.
Question I would have is would that cause any riding/handling issues?
I reached out to him, he said no issues...
Long story short - thought I'd share
Have done this on several bikes through the years and consistently get comments "thats pretty cool" and "would have never thought of that".
FTR stock grips are just slightly small for my liking and went to my old "fix"
Wrapped them with tennis racket...
Shows in stock at revzilla, all options

I got the idea from this (pic posted).
Figured I could make something better/cheaper.
Initially thought 1 or 2 strong L brackets could work (1 piece L bracket vs bolting together what i did) but liked the width of corner brace/mending plate.
The slots in the brace allow to slide back/forth...
Was just a "concept" at that time.
Have since upgraded all the hardware.
Don't keep it on all the time, just mount it up when the kiddo rides (takes about 2 minutes).
Idk though, may just keep it on full time-test the longevity
I just went to the local Ace hardware.
What I used was a corner brace and a couple mending plates (pretty sturdy and coated black).
I have upgraded the hardware since, ended up using grade 8 bolts (3/16) to piece together.
The pad, just amazon cheapo (search sissy bar backrest pad) they have...
Looks great and still saving over saddlemen seat.
I've been considering doing the custom thing but I'd want to go the opposite direction (lower seat height) and not sure really possible as seat is really that that thick.
Anyway - looks good and enjoy.
Thanks, its definitely sturdy.
Used some larger stainless bolts to mount, wanted to test the concept.
May look for some counter sunk bolts (if I can find that size) to sit a bit more flush atop the rack and paint black.
But for now. Its strong, tested and kid approved.
So,
Been taking my kiddo on rides for several years, she loved the old cruiser but not so much the FTR.
Thought, maybe a back rest (that way would hopefully feel more comfortable on some more spirited rides).
I have the tail rack, looked at it and put a plan together for a backrest.
It turned...
