Hey all, I just ordered a set of 17" BST Carbon wheels for my 2019 Race Replica, and now i need to order a new set of tires.
I am trying to lower the bike as much as I can without messing with the suspension. Will a 180/55-17 fit on the rear? Thanks
Well here's what I have come up with; since I am trying to shave both weight and overall seat height, while trying to get the best all around street tires on this animal, I am leaning towards the 17" BST wheels both Front and back.
The rim widths are 5.5" rear, and 3.5" front. The tires that I...
I have been checking out the selection of road sport tires that are available and I haven't been able to match a rear tire in a 17" with a front tire in the 19" size.
If I get the BST wheels both front and rear in the 17" size, then the tire selection is not a problem. I wonder what problems...
Thanks for the quick reply guys! I like the idea of going to a 17" rear. Will a 180/60 clear the chain etc. Also the rear sprocket may need adjusted tooth wise to keep the stock gear ratio.
OK, I have pretty much decided to get the BST carbon wheels in the stock sizes 18" rear & 19" front. The front wheel is a 19" x 3.0", and the rear is 18" x 5.5" wide. My question is; will there be any issues with a Conti RA 3 160ZR6018 widthwise on this 5.5" wide wheel? I am looking for a little...
I'm looking for some input from you all; I am 5'6" and trying to get my FTR a little lower, and lighter. I have the S&S Grand National full exhaust which makes it even more challenging. I am thinking about BST carbon wheels for the weight reduction, as well as the possibility of going to 17"...
Well, my problem is at 5'6" I'm on my tip toes, and worse since I installed the S&S Grand National exhaust. I am leaning towards a set of BST carbon fiber 17" wheels front and back and then a better assortment of tires to choose from.
About the BST CF wheels for the FTR; I believe as well as the 19 x 3 front and 18 x 5.5 rear they have 17's available. Why was it said that they were the wrong sizes?
I also have a KTM 1290 R Super Duke, and I can say that it has very little heat in the seat area, but when I picked up the FTR it was about 90 degrees, and I immediately found the seat heat to be very uncomfortable!
So uncomfortable that I started to search for some kind of remedy.
