Definitely different feeling bikes. There isn't much "cruising" done on my FTR in comparison to the V-rod. I speak from experience.

Update to my post above. Unfortunately a new junction hose from Samco was going to cost around $210 so I just ordered the revised junction hose from Indian for something like $29 shipped. Considering the part is largely hidden and I just did this for cosmetic purposes I think this will be ok...

My attempt at installing didn't go so well today. Hopefully, I can get another junction hose from them without having to buy a whole new kit. I beat the shit out of mine too much trying to wedge it in there (with no success) to feel comfortable using it. In the mean time I'll just start taking...

Apparently mine is showing up today (West coast US). I'm happy to get it before the winter is over so I can get it installed in time for the good weather.

I just bought one of these: https://us.litelok.com/ Saw a youtube review where it tore up a lot of grinding discs. I also have one of those disc brake locks with an alarm - I don't expect it to stop a determined thief but the two combined should be a little discouraging.

Is there a standard like OBD-II for motorcycles? Seems like we are at the mercy of the manufacturers and third-parties like Dynojet.

@Bumati - Did you make those pipes for the catalytic converter delete yourself? Were you able to match the stainless tubing so they tarnished to match the factory tubing? I'm planning on doing the same thing this winter.

It looks like I have two small chips on the paint on my engine (2022 FTR S). Probably from a rock - nothing too huge. Anyone found any good touch up paints for the gray engine paint?

IDK, I also don't have a wind tunnel to figure out the alignment. So the easiest thing was to take it off.

I tried the Puig windshield but it caused a wobble right at 100mph. Under 100mph it was nice but that wobble was no fun. Took it off yesterday and the wobble went away with no other changes to my suspension. So it was definitely the windshield. Not sure if anyone else has had the same issue.

Big +1 on this. I put this on yesterday and it made a noticeable improvement in the shifting.

Got to go to the UPS store today ... trying to figure out just how long I can make that trip and get back in time for dinner. :cool:
