I'm with you on that, it sounds AMAZING (I ran mine for a sec with no cat and no muffler which is basically the same thing as the Bassani haha). Way too loud to be comfortable for me for this type of bike, but sounds incredible!
I've had a couple big cubic inch custom choppers with straight...
I had the same issue with some aftermarket LED turn signals. Wired an inline resistor to each and they work perfectly now. I can check what OHM resistor I used when I get home if you want.
Ok Lloydz v6 tune flashed. Toce decat pipe with stock muffler and baffles in, sounds PERFECT. Significantly louder than stock, but not too loud. Has a nice snarly noise to it now.
OK got th3 Lloydz V6 tune installed. STILL have the cold start issues (cranks for a long time before starting). Once it starts it runs great. When it's warm it starts up normal, this is only if it sits for a day.
What else could cause this ?
Toce decat on with stock muffler, actually sounds awesome. Not super loud, but louder than stock and WAY better exhaust note. Scheduled to have Lloydz v6 tune flashed tomorrow at my local Indian dealership so i'll report back with results!
Followup question, is the only update I need to have the dealer do the "Ride Command" software? If so, looks like I can download the file and do that myself. Or is there a dealer ECU update as well?
Guess we will find out soon! I was under the impression that the "Cold Start Issues" were typically that the bike would start and then die. My bike doesn't even start most of the time as you can see in the video. Either way, needs a tune so I'll go for it!
Really? Ok that gets me excited. One more question, i'm going to go with Lloydz tune, should I have my dealer do the factory updates to the ECU before having the LLoydz tune installed? I assume a dealer update would wipe Lloydz tune from the ECU. Or does it not matter?
Ok wanted to post an update as I STILL have the same issues. Cranks but wont start, and eventually if you crank it enough it starts (see video above). I still haven't gotten the bike tuned, but I presume this is different than the normal cold-blooded tuning issues these bikes have?
Worth noting...
Yep, mine has the cat in place, no muffler and just an exhaust tip attached to the cat. Looks kinda ugly and I want to get rid of the cat anyway.
I have a Toce link pipe coming in next week. Going to run that with the stock muffler first to make sure I'm good with the sound of no cat. Then will...
Also saw a guy selling a Bassani exhaust in the marketplace, thought about picking that up, but I hear they are INSANELY loud. Is that true? I like a throaty bike, but I don't like something that draws a ton of attention from just making noise.
