2019 FTR 1200 S from Slovakia

Hi, new member from Slovakia here with 2019 FTR 1200 S. Why I like my FTR.. It has about everything I want from a fun bike to have: turns and brakes well, great powerful engine, capable chassis, looks great, and sounds good. Nothing else is really needed in my opinion.

About me: I ride over 35 years, I have owned or ridden about anything on 2 wheels I could fit on, other than Chinese bikes. My current fleet now is 4 bikes, FTR is my "daily" ride. I have been reading a lot on this forum recently and I must say thumbs up this is the one of best forums, in my top 3 together with r3owners.net (Rocket III) and gl1800riders. I usually do not post much but ready to help if asked. My job includes international travel and I have part of my business based in U.S. so I am regularly spending time in Texas.. but NOT in summer lol

Welcome, aren't there some mountains in your area?

I would say 80% of the country is hills and mountains. I live in south west corner which is flat as a table. The Carpathian mountain starts growing 20km from my house and spreads across 5 countries all the way down to Serbia.

Countryside is really stunning, and relatively quiet if you are off the main roads. Sorry for non-FTR pictures but FTR is not my travel rig

I have checked into a trip to Romania but am open to any place in the Carpathian range.

Romania is THE destination for mountain riding in this corner of Europe. Mountains, size of the place, people and roads are top. If you want to try the popular Transfagarasan / Transalpina roads, the safest months are late June-Mid September. These mountain roads are closed for winter and their reopening date each season depends on authorities, so I would check online about 2024 dates. I recall the opening date for 2024 is July 1st..?
