What is the Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) System?
The Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) System seals the fuel system of the vehicle in order to prevent fuel vapors from the fuel tank and fuel system from escaping into the atmosphere.

The tighter your government emissions regulations are the more likely your motorcycle will have this system. I think all cars have it in all 50 states in the USA. I believe California is the only state that requires it in the USA on motorcycles.

Cars have used them for decades. And are the leading cause for check engine lights.
Sadly they are probably going to be more and more common on bikes

My Evap is about to “fall off” soon too. What’s needed in terms of blanking off the intake manifold bit and the running the fuel overflow lines?

What a nice looking bike! I was thinking about the same set of Kineo Wheels. Thanks to you I now know that it looks awesome on the FTR.
