Hi all,

I’m a new rider (6 months) and have a Indian FTR1200S 2021
I’m 37 years old and took some lessons and a exam with my brother in law
I totally love motorcycles and riding them. Best choice ever.
My dad is a chopper cruiser guy and currently have a Harley Fatboy
So I grew up with a loud pipes save life’s mentality :-D

I’m 6’3 so it was a difficult search what fits my length.
The YammieNoob review on YT was the trigger to buy this one

I now drive the bike for a month and I’m totally in love

I have done:
Pirelli scorpion tires
K&N high Flow filter
S&S slip on (with Kat without DB killer, stupid euro size DB killer)
Passenger handlebar
Dynojet PV3 tune
Quadlock phone charger
Roadlok system

In the future I want:
License plate relocator
Rally handlebar or Risers
FTR elite Saddle or Comfort saddle
Some extra Carbon parts
-Maybe a Kat delete link pipe
-Maybe a Puig windscreen

Greetings from the land of “Klompen, Kaas, tulpen en Molens”

Léon

Welcome!

I suppose most everyone would argue that FTR is not the most suitable bike for a new rider, but with your age, and having grown up in a biker family, I expect you know full well what you are getting yourself into :)
These powerful motorcycles today are tamed by electronics anyway. One can always put it into Rain Mode when it starts feeling a bit too much.

Enjoy it, and many happy kilometers! :)

P.S. Why is everyone in the Netherlands so freakishly tall, both male and female?! I feel like a midget when I'm in your country 😆

That is a good point, I learn every day and I’m wise enough to not drive insane.
I still not have used the track mode haha
I’m a fast learner and love the trill when I open the throttle

Dutch people are indeed tall but I rather trade places with a smaller guy when i enter a plane or when i search for a new bike haha

still remember how Jeremy Clarkson from TG mentioned his 'proper' height and disliking motorcycles, hehe, i believe it's not too bad to be shorter and riding after all!
-comment from another midget ;)

That’s why I’m in search of some handlebar risers or the rally handlebar.
I guess the foot pegs are good and my knees doesn’t hurt.

Came across some parts of TK Funsport on this forum, are they any good?
Only saw 2 pictures of the risers

Thank you!
What a kind forum this is :)
This looks indeed more comfortable, for us, the taller people
Great looking bike

I have contact with Thomas and will order soon
he's actually shorter than me at 5'7" flat lol!
he wanted higher bars to help out his short arms and as he has an old wrist injury, this helps a lot - takes the pressure off.
