Master Link?

I have to admit, caught my eye in the photo. I can’t recall seeing it while servicing the chain…master link?

That’s the master link yes.

That is what is called a "Press-fit" master link. A special tool drives a smaller diameter pin into the link's pins and it smooshes out the top. They are much safer than "Clip-style."

My tool was made by RK Chains and cost $100 15 years ago. :dunno
