Valve shimming

The ftr uses shimmed buckets vs shim under buckets like most ohc motorcycle engines. The shimmed buckets are expensive, and require more down time to order each one. I just came across this shim conversion kit for when the time comes.

Ok, I just looked up the parts page and the "bucket" is the shim, no? $30 a pop, wow. I think I get what the kit does now, basically replaces the "buckets" with a design that allows you to use shims with them, right?

Hopefully, most of the movement should be seen during the first check at 20k that my dealer is covering the cost of.

Yeah Polaris uses different sizes buckets for shimming. And mine were still all in spec at 8k
