Wonky speedometer

Just got my FTR about a month ago and everything is fine. Got caught in the rain today and speedometer suddenly started moving up to over 80 mph when I was probably going about 45. It slowly would drop down when stopped. Then back up to over 80 when cruising at about 45. Not sure if something leaked in the housing or if this was a common problem.

Guess I should have mentioned that - Base model - analog

I recall someone else having an issue with water in the analog speedo, but I think that was to do with the LCD portion washing out and becoming unreadable.

I believe the base model is a digital speedo but an analogue look alike.

It’s not cable driven, yup.

It's dry currently so I will take for a test ride to see if it is still occuring

Don’t tell me it was set to kmh instead of mph...

Ding, ding, ding - we have a winner!! Somehow I switched it from miles to km. I realized it once I got close enough to the speedometer to see km. I can't see close without cheaters. Not sur how I set it to km but that was the answer. I love those simple solutions - usually a result of self-inflicted stupidity.
