Vinyl Wrapped Side Panels for Sale

I have traded in my FTR for an Indian Springfield and have 2 extra set of OEM side panels that I had vinyl wrapped. Asking $300 for the silver pair and $250 for the black pair. The silver pair has never been on the bike. The other pair was on it for the past year but still in very good...

    Hello from Duesseldorf / Germany

That Rally does look great! Hmmm, maybe there is room for one more bike in my 3 bike stable!

Second Bike in Stable for Longer Distances?

It is a great bike for the money. What most don't realize is that it is basically a Yamaha Bolt with a sub-frame to elevate the seating position and add some ground clearance. It also has an upswept exhaust and semi nobby tires. Yamaha attempted to market it as a scrambler (hence the SCR) but...

Second Bike in Stable for Longer Distances?

That is nothing to be embarrassed about. My 2nd Bike in Iowa is a smaller BMW G 310 GS (otherwise known as the "baby GS"). Obviously it's not for longer rides but at 374 pounds is for easier loading and unloading to take on short adventure rides. (A big GS would certainly do the trick for...

Second Bike in Stable for Longer Distances?

I would like to hear how many of you have another ride (or more) in your stable. I love the FTR and 90% of my rides are 1.5 hours or less. However, I have friends wanting to do some longer distance rides so I am considering adding a larger cruiser. I have 2 other bikes but both are smaller...

    Newbie in Florida

Welcome from Iowa and Tennessee.....I'm at 1,600 and still impressed....I have 2 other bikes in my stable I feel compelled to ride periodically or it would be more. Looks like you have another ride as well? Are there many motorcycles out and about in Florida during the lockdown?

    Magnetic Heater on Oil Pan?

That's exactly why I thought heating the oil a bit (perhaps above 80 degrees) might help the cold start. Obviously a working map update would be superior to the oil pan heater. I don't mind the few minute warmup period but it seems like it might be harder on engine components to struggle like...

    Magnetic Heater on Oil Pan?

Sorry....I meant to say that when I go in for the breaker fix to have them update my map.

    Magnetic Heater on Oil Pan?

I appreciate all of the feedback. I think I will wait until I go to the dealership for the circuit breaker recall to see if they will address the cold start issue. Iowa is not on lockdown so to keep from going stir crazy I ride an hour or two each day (weather permitting) on very lightly...

    Magnetic Heater on Oil Pan?

Sounds like a great idea. Thanks for the info

    Magnetic Heater on Oil Pan?

Perhaps I am just used to a smoother running engine immediately upon starting it (like my BMW and Yamaha). I do always let it warm up before I ride. Good catch on the dipstick so I assume that is just an access hole to fill it. Thanks for the response.

    Magnetic Heater on Oil Pan?

Has anyone tried to use one of the magnetic heaters on the oil pan to warm the oil awhile for a smoother start and faster warm-up? I was wondering how much of a difference it would make to turn that on a couple of hours before a ride. When my garage is 50-55 degrees (F) I wait until the...
