Do you have a link to what you used? Thanks.I know it’s not super sexy and lacks the heatshield (any ideas/links for inexpensive way to hide the pipe are welcomed) but if does sound mean compared to stock

I ordered a link pipe for a Kawasaki Z 900 and a generic muffler off of EBay. I took a chance because of the pictures of the pipe and the muffler looked like it would approximately fit and it matched up perfectly. All for under $60. Saved almost 8 pounds of weight. Just need to get a nut for the back of the muffler hanger bolt, because it bolted right into the old muffler mount. And shorter springs.I know it’s not super sexy and lacks the heatshield (any ideas/links for inexpensive way to hide the pipe are welcomed) but if does sound mean compared to stock

Yeah it points it up a little too high in my opinion. But matches up with existing exhaust hanger.Love the setup. Much cleaner than what I pieced together. Knowing that z900 Midpipe fits , opens up the world of possibilities
Can you angle the exhaust down any more at all?
How far is it from the bike?
Do you have an image from the back?
It comes with extra hooks to weld on at different locations if needed. May end up doing this over winter. Also the springs were too long. I think they were 3 inch springs and one needs about a 2 inch and one needs about 2 1/2- 3/4.
I took the catalytic converter and baffles out of the original and it sounds mean but backfires and crackles like there is no tomorrow. Does your set up back fire etc? Love to get it running sweet but still with character. Remapped as well to improve performance across the board and remove speed limiter. Has very much high top speed now with 1) new map, 2) higher gearing and 3) windshield. Added a radar detector later to test accuracy of indicated speed via GPS and it’s only 2km heigh as indicated. Then dropped the forks down and tightened up the back suspension and now focused on tyres, battery lightening and tail tidy. It’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.I know it’s not super sexy and lacks the heatshield (any ideas/links for inexpensive way to hide the pipe are welcomed) but if does sound mean compared to stock
