Bathurst 1000

Wasn't too sure where to put this as its car related so if this is the wrong place, please move.

This weekend is the Bathurst 1000 - possibly the best car race in Australia - where 24 cars race around a mountain.

it's an endurance race with each team fielding a main driver and Co driver. it is amazing and brutal all at once.

not sure if its viewable in the US (or anywhere outside of Aus at all) but if you can tune in to Sunday's race, do it!

it's being held a lot later this year than normal (covid) so will be interesting to see if the temp change causes any dramas. probably yes lol.

One small detail is that this is held on public roads which are closed off for the racing...

i absolutely wanted to, but I had a wedding on Sat and today (Sun) my brother is racing at the Willunga Hill Climb (plus it's Bathurst)
so no, couldn't go this year, just bad timing
