Best way to remove the warning sticker on Gas tank

I just picked up my FTR this past Friday. I want to remove the warning yellow sticker on the fuel tank. Normally, I would just use me heat gun and begin to peel it off, but I do not want to do anything dumb that would affect the finish.

Can anyone share how they removed theirs?

use a hair dryer to warm it up then peel it off.
tiny bit of WD40 to get the glue off.
then a little water and rag to clean that off.

I used that method on my polished side covers and my hubby's matte ones without an issue. just clean the wd40 off once you're done and you're good

I would use a product called "Goo Gone" to remove the remaining glue instead of WD 40

Why? Hundreds if not more used WD40 without any problems…

(they’re both petroleum distillates btw…)

I have used both. Either one will do the job. After the residual glue is gone use your favorite detailer to get the solvent off the paint.

Because it works better. Less effort and better clean-up.

Whatever, WD40 works totally fine (probably just as good as Goo-Gone).
