Carbon wheels

Has anyone tried or have any experience with carbon wheels on an FTR. I know from past experience that removing the unsprung weight like heavy wheels can have tremendous effect on power And handling. I don’t know how much difference it would make because the aluminum wheels aren't that heavy to begin with.

I’d say yes they make a difference, but not without seriously improving the suspension too...

If you have to much money... buy them.
If you want only lighter wheels... look für alternatives.
But I think the original wheels are nor really heavy.
Or do you want "bling, bling" ?
e.g. the Keno wheels are bling and lighter.
With carbon wheels you have to find a dealer who can handle them for tire change. Because the rims are more sensiive than others.
And they don't last as long because the CFK is sun-aged.
With an good setup you will have an greate gain of handling.
I drove two FTR. One orginal an one with an liitle setup changes at the original chassis. Push the fork tubes through a little an you'll thing you have an new bike.
