Clutch Cable

Question for those who have modded to lower handlebars - the clutch cable is now too long and sticks up a fair bit.
I keep pushing it down behind the light but I'm wondering has anyone who's changed to lower bars also changed the clutch cable?
Just wondering how to clean up the look (other than cable ties)

play with the routing below the triple clamp. mine kinda swerves back and up towards the airbox cover. it takes a good bit of that away, just watch the O2 sensor wire thats clammed to it.

Play with the routing on the right hand side of the bike, and use a tie wrap on top of the radiator

yup the stock cabling is a bit more...free than I'd have done haha.

Be careful, if you route too tight or "push" it down too fair you can sometimes "preload" the clutch via tension on the cable and quickly smoke your clutch plates. Happened to a buddy who put lower bars on his bike (wasnt an ftr, but had a cable clutch).

That’s a good point. Cheching the freeplay afterwards.

cheers lads - yes will be careful of that. Just don't want it sticking up like an antenna haha
