Anyone know off hand whether the OEM forks on the base model are the same dimensions/width as the Öhlins on the 1200S?

They are the same and I interchangeable. If you’re comparing them to a 22 base for abs not a 19

A 2019 - like for like.

The 22 ohlins will still fit it. But they are slightly shorter. And a lot less internal travel.

You will need to do the forks and matching rear shock for this reason.

I have 22 ohlins on my 19

Sorry, I should have made it clearer. I meant 2019 oem base model and 2019 Öhlins on the 'S'. I understand they are the same width and length. Is that right?

The 2019 didn’t come with ohlins. They are sachs. Just gold.

ohlins is only on the 22 carbon r

but yes the travel and dimensions from the 19 s or RR are the same as the base. But the base is none adjustable on the 19

what Mike said - there is no Ohlins on the 2019 FTR.

Even the internals are interchangeable between the 2019 black Base forks and the 2019 S/RR ones.

You could make the base forks adjustable by installing the S internals and caps. Or vice versa.

Apologies, I was and have been saying Öhlins when I meant Sachs. My question was, whether the base model and the 1200s (2019-21) the same dimensions and that has been answered. Thanks, appreciated.
