Hey there.
New owner in Maine. wondering if anyone has experiences with the "mid sized" windshield. is it worth the $350 to make it feel a little less like youre going to get ripped off the bike when you're doing 80+ on the interstate? thoughts on how well it works?
Congratulation! Welcome from Pittsburgh, PA. My riding is strictly recreational. I try to avoid the freeway at all cost. Just “no“ fun on a FTR. Some others on the forum have added various wind screens.
I have the mid-size stock windshield installed, and frankly felt much better on the freeway (or wherever you ride pass 70MPH), and not feeling so "naked". It is way overpriced though...I am not sure if there is an aftermarket version of it. But I had to say that both the windshield and the frame are both very well made.

PowerBronze makes the windscreens in three sizes and 17 different colors. I have the 225mm windscreen in solid black. Puig also makes a decent looking windscreen for the FTR (search Puig FTR on eBay). I went with PowerBronze windscreen since it is fitted to the headlights without the cowl.
I bought the Puig 2 months ago, and it works pretty well. Unfortunately you cannot change the angle, but it is very well made for a very reasonable price (90€ In EU).
