I personally would describe it (on my bike) as being twitchy instead of full-on surging.

RR Rob919 - The ECU mapping issues have been a big topic of discussion on this forum. Many owners felt it necessary to purchase a PV3 and ECU tune to correct the problems. Thankfully I have not had issues. I think the surging they refer to occurs between 3000-4000rpm. When holding the throttle steady the engine rpm surges without input. Others who have experienced the problem may be better able to describe the problem.

Gotcha. Sounds like the same thing I am experiencing so I will have to look into that ecu tune. thanks for the info!
