I keep my bikes in chocks in the garage (saves space, safer-- especially in earthquake country).... So, it is very easy to start bikes and let them idle/warm in the upright position.... Let them rest for a short time to get the oil back down in the sump and check the level.... I currently have 3 bikes that work with this exact same procedure.... Makes things very consistent for me.... Not trying to be difficult-- just saying it is very easy and works....
