After enjoying some beers in the garage I decided to see how much weight I removed from the ole girl.
-Rear wheelie bar and all its components removed, replaced with very small plate bracket that weights 1lb
-Catalytic and mufflers removed, replaced with a titanium racefit that weights 1lb
-All chain guards removed
-Front and rear signals and brackets removed, replaced with kellermann signals that weight a few ounces.
The handlebars and mirrors were also changed, but were replaced with units that weighed the same.
All in, it shaved 30lbs off the overall weight of the bike, which now puts its curb weight almost to that of a stock Monster 1200 is.
