Shift lever location?

Has anyone changed out their shift lever for one with a longer peg. After riding a little bit today, I missed 2nd and was in neutral. Then I noticed my foot cramping up a little bit. It seems as though you have to invert your foot like pigeon toed to get to the shifter. I’ve only owned cruisers and enduros in the past and never really seem to have to turn my foot in that much. So has anyone changed this out. Pictures for comparison.

No.... But I feel your pain.... I have gone to superior pegs and raised the shifter almost as high as it will go.... Yet, I still have to bend my foot down and in quite a bit to insure proper shifting.... The process is intuitive now, but things could certainly be better.... A longer foot on the shift lever would probably be helpful....

I have the exact same problem. I wonder if the Gilles Tooling AS31GT2 would make any difference.
Maybe someone can chime in on the Gilles tooling.
It looks like the peg is just a force fit. I don’t see a screw on the back side. I may put something over it to extend it. Another option might be just to heat it up and put a slight bend in it It’s weird because the break side seems to be OK but the shifter side seems way in.

I found a cheap solution. It doubles the length of it. Time will tell if it lasts but it was only a dollar. Might use grip glue to adhere to the rubber pad.
