speedo drive

Does anyone know where does the speedometer get its input?

I am considering a gearing change and need to know if this will change speed indication.

I think it’s the front wheel, but even it was the rear, still not a problem.

It’s not the countershaft.

its the front wheel till there is a discrepancy then it goes off the back wheel, measures off the abs rings on both, no gearing doesnt change the speedo.

this is from one of the indian engineers on the fb group, and from when i added the +2
