    2022 ftr-s slip on compatability

The line of the subframe that meets the seat, not the silhouette of the bike. Thanks!

    2022 ftr-s slip on compatability

I personally feel it looks decent since it matches the angle of the sub frame/tail, but I think it sounds the best. It’s the cat that makes it ugly. I simultaneously don’t want to spend 2,000 US dollars, and want to sound more aggressive than a sewing machine.

    2022 ftr-s slip on compatability

Has anyone verified that the Bassani w/ cat slip on fits a ‘22?

Do you have pics close up of the Mount? That looks pretty solide

    FTR fuel filling

I lucked out today and had a gas station with a slight slope haha, also resorted to a little bit of wiggle.

PowerVision3 vs lloydz tune? or both?

I’m sure they are. I had an Vance and Hines FP3 on my Harley, and I really wish something like that existed for the FTR.

    Base Model Baffle Removal

Yup! FYI, made it loud enough to hear the engine noise through the wind noise, but I wouldn’t say it’s loud.

PowerVision3 vs lloydz tune? or both?

That was directly from Chris Kelly at Dynojet. He didn’t specify whether they’d add tunes that work with the 22 ECU’s, or if they’d be coming out with a new tuner, but holding onto it might be worthwhile.

    Base Model Baffle Removal

Also worth noting, these mufflers will likely not be on this bike for too long, so my give a care was not cranked to 10 when I pulled them 😂. I work on aircraft for a living so I know finesse, but my garage has more leniency than a hangar.

PowerVision3 vs lloydz tune? or both?

I recently emailed them, and they stated, “The PV3 has not been officially tested and approved for 2022 Indian FTR1200 at this point, but it is probably coming soon.” As well as some other stuff I asked about. Really thorough, quick response! I hope they do figure it out. Customer service seems...

    FTR fuel filling

Do any of you carry external fuel with you? It so, what’s your method? I was considering doing some old fuel bottles. I have a Nelson Riggs tail bag with the molle attachment on top. Something I could do a quick lil baby top off at stops without a gas station when riding with friends. I’ve...

    Base Model Baffle Removal

Cleaner cuts than what’s on that YouTube video. Sure, I scraped some coating off with the 1 1/2” and the channel locks when twisting out the baffle, but it all gets covered up anyways. A little bit of exhaust paint helps if you’re concerned about the potential for rust.

    Base Model Baffle Removal

There’s a video online that will tell to use a 1 1/2” hole saw to remove the baffles. Where the paint is scratched away on the top muffler is what an 1 1/2” would take out. Do not use a 1 1/“2 inch. Instead, use a 1 3/8” hole saw. Squirt a tiny bit of oil around the circumference of the baffle...

Oof, yeah I wouldn’t do sleet! I can handle cold, but not that. I’m interested to see how it turns out!

Awesome! The anticipation has got to be killing you lol. I am stubborn, and rode the Harley roughly 80 miles this morning in just above freezing, all to ride the ftr back for about 130 in slightly warmer weather. I can almost feel my toes again.

Well, I made the plunge. I couldn’t resist the value of the base model after all. The Harley will be missed, but I’m already loving this FTR.

I test rode the gen 2. Whoa! I didn’t know that thing existed. I don’t see one for the 2022 models, but I’m going to keep looking. Thanks man!

That’s awesome that you race! Love Harley’s for what they are, but they sure do have limits. That makes total sense. However, I’m trying to mitigate how much customization I do right off the bat. As a recovering jeep owner, immediately modding vehicles is a difficult temptation to resist. The S...

Oh, and the logistics surcharge has gone up recently. It’s now 900! Fun stuff.

I did test ride both the ftr and the s with a friend of mine. It felt comfortable, loved how it handled, throttle response/clutch were better imo than the Harley. My one big complaint with the Harley is it’s maneuverability, or lack thereof. Love it’s torque, I never feel like I am lacking...
