The 2022 has a 45t stock, but a smaller diameter rear tire. So a 45t on a 22 feels similar to the 49t on the 19
And it’s perfect. I’ve done a few trips with it.

Now that you can buy the 45t sprocket from indian, I did buy a 43t to experiment with to help with launching the bike.
Will report back

pictured is the 49/45/43 stack

I was thinking of 45 teeth but I chose a 43 after hearing the recommendation of other riders.
The 43 is a great fit for me and my riding the freeway revs have dropped, the tank range is better and the roll offs seem pretty much the same.
I have done a couple of accidental 2nd gear roll offs, not good for the clutch but not disastrous either. I wonder what a 41 tooth sprocket would ride like, it would make 6th gear like an overdrive.

Honestly I kinda want to put a -1 on my 22 after spending time on it and the way the mid range of the engine feels. I think it could use a gear down.

update on the 43t. Not a fan at all. The 45t will be going back on it once I visit the drag strip.
