I don't like bar end mirrors. My argument is they are too far away from my eyeballs, making it hard to see anything in the mirror other than my forearm. I prefer mirrors higher and closer to my eyes, where a slight movement of the head allows adjustment to what I am wanting to view.
However, I do have a bar end mirror on my electric pushbike. To avoid seeing nothing else than my forearm, I've mounted it so it sits below the handlebar. It works satisfactorily in this situation, but the view is limited.
