Yeah i had my bike serviced earlier this year and still had the original ride command software on there.

No, the updates are made available to owners to do on their own. It’s not a dealer thing

I have tried updating the software and had issues with the motorcycle recognizing the USB. The USB lights up showing it is connected, yet the bike does not recognize at all. I have also tried formating the USB to FAT32 and exFAT. I am also one of the lucky few that when an Iphone 11 is connected, the display will continually reboot or freeze. Any input is greatly appreciated.

You using a usb external drive, or a usb stick?

@Max Kool I tried a USB stick as well as an external hard drive that I use for storage with nothing other than the bike file uploaded.

A fat32 formatted usb stick is the way to go. External hard drives can lead to problems.

Just try another one, it can’t be that hard.

I had similar issues. Try a different USB stick. Not all memory sticks are the same. Are you formatting it with windows, osx or Linux?

As long as you format in fast32 or extfat you should be fine.

Done the update and had no errors or codes (also done a 20 km ride afterwards).

I had the ABS lamp error code, after riding it 10 min, cycling the key, it went away and no codes ever came back

Can someone who has successfully completed the upgrade tell us what is different about Ride Command? Are there new features or benefits that are useful?

@Max Kool after three USB sticks, it worked. Got the same ABS lamp code as @ferraiolo1 but that went away after a quick ride. Now if I could just figure out the IPhone 11 Pro Max connection issue I will be golden!
