Cooling System Failure 12.23.21

This is the first time I've encountered a break down situation on my FTR. The coolant junction located between the cylinders failed. I have since replaced the $12.49 molded coolant junction. It's a tight space to work in, but after a few choice words I was able to persuade it into place. My best guess is that it was nicked by a sharp tool during installation. Has anyone else seen this before? Happy New Year Y'all!

Happy new year.

Have not heard about this issue yet. This piece of plastic looks like a cheap produced potential source of error so it might be a quality issue.

Country of origin: CN

This is now a recall apparently...

Yeah it’s all of them. INDIAN put a stop sale out.

but it’s affected less than 1% of bikes made. And you have to remove the tank to get to the hose. So I’ll just do it next time I change my plugs vs having a dealer do it.

Lol per some of the instructions I was seeing it has to come off to get to the y.

but that’s good to know then!

I did just look, unless they haven’t updated the website yet. The pn is still the same for that part

I suppose I’ll just wait for the letter to turn up. Over here if it’s a recall then it has to go to a dealer or franchise to be done.

Polaris issued a "Stop sale" order on all FTR models I searched due to I-22-04 as of today.

So in all the articles I've looked up they don't mention the carbon being included in the recall. Is it?

All FTR models produced up to August 12th this year are affected. The T-junction of the carbon is no different from any other model FTR.

The reason why the Carbon isn’t specifically mentioned is probably because it was never sold in the US…
