I DID NOT go through the group buy with Max. I ordered these about a month ago from Germany talking direct with Gilles. But with the group buy and a US supplier, that is a better deal and shorter wait time.

But the quality is amazing like anything they make. Installation took a whopping 15min. At their lowest adjustment they are just below stock height. So these are not for you if you think they will ease you’re aching knees. I have them set at their highest setting here.

Are the pegs slick or do they have some grip? Do they make folding pegs or any option for folders from another company? They look awesome, love the carbon fiber and billet together... just not sure if I could deal with the fixed pegs.

I found some other footpegs that I'll be grabbing when I get the Gilles sets.
I don't like the 'dirt' style, prefer smaller footrests.
but we're a long way away from that at the moment as our dollar is poo.

They won’t work with the Gilles.

the Gilles pegs have index pins for adjusting.
Gilles does offer different pegs for their rearsets. But they have to be Gilles specific pegs.

Sorry, i meant "final" setting points. I also sucked my forks up 10mm.

With the new foot position, the quicker turn in for the forks, and low handlebars, this thing finally feels the way it should, for comfortable spirited riding.

1. Grip.. there is.. but they are new, sharp milling edges at the top profile ..but after 10k miles? nobody know it yet and the coulour on top will be gone for sure
2. No.. they won´t after request
3. The fixed pegs are not really the prob` because you can set it to variable postions
-> it will be more about to safety regulations (all over the globe?) that they have to flap up in case ..if..

btw. ..the look without the carbon heelguards is even perfect

Per regulations for street use in most countries. The pegs have to be able to flip up. I assume it’s Incase you catch a peg they think if it moves you will be less likely to go down.
I’m not worried about it.

are they narrower than the stock ones by any chance? (that would give extra clearance too)

Not really narrower ..Imho.. but more grip than the orig´ ones for the moment
(didn´t realise and dont know exactly what the clearance means)
