Not only did I ride to Midland today, without an armed escort, I got into a drag race with a couple of big block HD's and Diavel. The HD's were behind me at the lights, we're all bunch up at the head of the queue, lights go green and we roll off, then the HD's nail it so I did too that's when the Diavel overtook us all. The FTr did well but this was when I learnt it's got a rev limiter, if I'd got the gear changes right I would've done better.

Don't feel bad, the Diaval is fast, expensive and, in my opinion, not nearly as cool looking as the FTR.

Yes I know about Gorilla bikes, ugly but strong, I had one before the FTR.
The HD's are expensive too, so the FTR is value for money. The main thing I took away from that little blast was gear changing, this was the the first time I had hit the rev limit.

Hey Melly, so where do you hail from around Brisbane mate?…interested in what you thought of Glorious…I find the road surface crap and personally I don’t think it gets better till after the cafe…maybe we could catch up at some stage for a burn…I normally run through Woodford and then up to Peachester, down the twisties and back up to the Peachester coffee shop. Then Bald knob road, Melany then backdown to Woodford, right at the Dag pub and out through Mt Mee. Good run, great roads. Bit of everything in it…👍😎 oh welcome by the way

Got a call from a couple of mates out of the blue yesterday about a meet up at Caffeine & Machine near Stratford-Upon-Avon. The weather was not looking great but I got talked into it and as it happens the rain held off and it turned out to be a great day out. Smiles all round,
Been meaning to visit this - lovely part of Warwickshire. Were there many bikes there?

Hey Breto
im on the western side of Mt Glorious . Live in Rosewood . great roads you speak of there have ridden them many times myself. We used to live on the Sunnycoast .
Definitely up for a ride for sure . im a shift worker on a 7 on 7 off roster. I usually ride through Splityard Ck around the back of Wivenhoe and then up the western side of Mt Glorious i think it the better part of the road. Definately like to catch up for a chat mate ive just got my first tune from Fuelmoto and im still having trouble at lower speeds . This is the first V Twin ive owned so its a bit of a learning curve for me
cheers Melly

Frustratingly, not far.

Being in an Aus lockdown state we're technically restricted to 5km radius from our homes for 2 hours of exercise per day. Else, stay home.

Now, moto is exercise. And 50kms is nothing more than 10 x 5 km loop without the circle part. 😜

So I did manage to eek out some costal kms.

I hear you dude. I truly do.

But lockdown 6.0 for Vic is getting a bit too much.

We've all been very compliant for a very long time. Last year we had 16+ weeks of draconian enforcement - and at the time, it was the harshest globally.

I'm booked for Vax. We're doing the right thing. But yeah. Needs must.

It's the first time I've gone there, we went on a Tuesday during the day, it was quite quiet with just a steady flow of visitors, but apparently weekends and some evenings you actually have to book to get in because it's so rammed with custom and interesting vehicles. They also have owners club events as well, so worth checking the web site out before you go.
