edgelett - I have a little tire dilemma. I have been using up two rear tires for every front tire. (I am still running the Dunlop DT3Rs) I will need a new rear in 500-600 miles. The front tire will only be half way gone at that time. I intended to just purchase a DT3R rear and wait another 2500miles until it is time to replace both and then change away from DT3Rs. I have been looking at the ContiTrail Attack 3, the Bridgestone A41 or the Dunlop TrailSmart. Or I could ditch the remaining rubber on the front and get both front and rear right now. I was hoping if I wait a few months someone might make a straight up street tire in the correct size and I can avoid the 90/10 tires all together. I read a lot but so far no news on a all street sport tire for the FTR. Not sure what to do......

I went with the Conti Road Attack 3 based on my mate's review of them:

I asked him how they were going since this review and he said they lasted ages and he will be getting them again.
and he rides like a mad man so if they're lasting for him they will live forever for me haha!

Got out for a ride in the autumn sunshine again today, it was pretty cold but I racked up a couple of hours on the backroads. Forecast isn’t promising for the rest of the week so I got in just in time.

60 miles today....around my area...beautiful night. I'm starting to get really comfy with the bike. It feels natural now. Ripped it up hard and noticed I am getting around 90-91 mile per fill up...wholly shit that's terrible. Filled up halfway through.. First with the Indian OEM Dual Sport helmet...loved it.. great air flow.

This bike is so much fun...yall know this. My stock tune is running perfectly. I was grinning ear to ear.

Ride slow - What is that? I’m getting 30mpg and 2500miles per rear tire. I’m “happy as a clam” about it!

I just got 135 miles on a tank. About 50% hard riding, 30% urban and 20% taking it really easy because I forgot my wallet.... oops!

Yea the first week I took really easy, that's why the high mileage. Now I ride it hard, like it is meant to be ridden. Low MPG, but I don't care. Twisting the throttle on this thing is so exhilarating.

Another 170kms today, nice to get out on the Conti's and wow they are SO much better than the stock Dunlops.
Rode the extended loop from my house to the hills, was cold and the wind sucked but was still great to get out.

Took a nice ride today on my 77‘ XS-750 and my Indian. I did 40 miles on the Yamaha and 35 miles on the Indian. Pictures are of Yamaha in front of my favorite golf course - Scenic Valley and the Indian in front of Rolling Green golf course. Tomorrow no motorcycles - playing golf with my regular Tuesday group at Butler’s golf course!
