Ultratoad, you should start thinking about wearing trousers on your ride :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I am not stucked to special brands, it's always a question of design, function and last but not least of size. My helmet is a Schuberth C3 PRO. The design is boring but it fits well and is pretty quite. I have an older Vanucci Nukuk leather suit and scratched up my Probiker textile suit this year together with the Buell on the rocks of Sardegna. Gloves are currently from Held, boots from Daytona and Vanucci.

GT-Air helmet, Kevlar jeans with bohn pads / or shift leather pants for fun days, shift leather jacket / or fly mesh jacket when its hot, sidi boots, icon pursuit gloves (the only gloves that are actually fully touch screen compatible)

After picking out road debris from my arm in a slow fall, and having to deal with gooey road rash for a month, I tent to always wear gear.

Yeah buddy of mine didn’t use them (they wouldn’t go under his Alpinestars suit). They’re new.

Picked up a Shoei GTAir II today to replace my five year old Shoei Neotec, it’s lighter, quieter and fits my noggin perfectly out of the box. Just so happens it goes pretty well with the bike too

- Revit Kevlar jeans with Seesmart protectors for knee and hip
- Gloves (Have to switch to a little bit better ones)
- Full face helmet (integrated sunglasses)
- Leather jacked with protectors on elbow, shoulder and back
- Leather boots

Short ride or long ride doesn't matter to me. My skin is on of my organs and I'm better prepared than sorry.

I broke both my arms, both wrists and my left leg in a crash in 2019. “Always dress for the slide not the ride....”
(I was still wearing splints on both arms in late November)

that like was due to the good advice, not the fact you had a crazy crash.
Glad to see you can still ride!

Finally unboxed my Indian helmet, and after the first ride had to shorten the peak (to avoid neck strain over 60-70mph) .

Indian modular helmet (I can't for the life of me figure out who actually produces it)
Harley branded leather gloves
Indian Mesh jacket
Red Wing Iron Ranger boots or my old Marine Corps issued combat boots
whatever jeans get pulled out of the closet. I really should invest in some kevlar jeans.

What are your must-haves in terms of motorcycle safety gear? I'm not much for touring, so I just stick to the basics. I consider riding gloves and eye protection of some sort to be an essential part of my gear. I don't usually ride without them. Right now I'm looking around at helmets since I need one that'll help me take advantage of the tech features on the S model. Got any recommendations on that end?
Full face helmet. essential. I have seen lot's of faces destroyed with other types and it can happen at slow speeds as well!

I just bought a pair of Knox Orsa Leather MK2 gloves. They are scheduled to arrive on Monday November 30. Unfortunately I’m wearing winter gauntlets now. But at least the weather is giving us a few more reasonable days this weekend.

So my 15 yr old locally made Rossi motorcycle boots started to die - the sole pretty much fell away on both of them and the velcro was coming apart.
Went to a local shoe repair guy, they got a new set of soles, re-glued and re-stitched them on, fixed the velcro and polished them all up for only $120.

I'm over the moon, they're like brand new again
